On Thursday May 27, 2010 at 1242 hours Stations 200, 50, 51, 170, 53 RIT, and EMS 106 were alerted for a possible house fire with entrapment at 1118 Washington Ave. in North Vandergrift, Parks Twp. 200 Chief arrived on-scene and established command and reported no entrapment but a the Bravo exposure was now involved. A second alarm was transmitted bringing companies 20, 40, 102, 140, Air 49, and RIT 95-2. Crews worked to contain the fire on the Bravo exposure while the house of origin was defensively fought using master stream devices. After working for nearly 4 hours the fire was deemed under control and units were returned to Service.
